Inside this little mandala

The bee has two wings, a smiling face and a body divided into broad stripes. Large petals sit behind it. The outer circle alternates hexagons with paired rounded shapes, keeping the pattern spacious.

A coloring idea to try

Use the familiar yellow-and-black palette or invent a colorful bee. Repeat a single color in every hexagon and give the petals a different shade.

Make a little moment of it

Look for the six sides of a hexagon together. Children can practice a repeating color sequence in the outer ring without needing to copy a finished example.

Use pencils or crayons for the smaller sections. Print on paper suited to your materials, and put a protective sheet underneath if using markers. Downloads are free for home and classroom use; please link to this page when sharing the design online.
