Inside this little mandala

The cat has a clear face, small paws and a tall curved tail. Around it, pointed petals form a flower-like ring. Diamonds, circles and angular sections create a second pattern without tiny decorative details.

A coloring idea to try

Give the petals two alternating colors. Choose a coat for the cat inspired by a real pet, or invent a bright striped friend using your own pencil marks.

Make a little moment of it

Ask your child to name the cat and imagine what it can see beyond the circle. There is no need to make both sides match.

Use pencils or crayons for the smaller sections. Print on paper suited to your materials, and put a protective sheet underneath if using markers. Downloads are free for home and classroom use; please link to this page when sharing the design online.
